hOURglass started as a happy experiment between me and my partner, two people who are never more content than when we're making something. For a long time I'd been saving the offcuts from my reclaimed bottles, and together we designed and handcrafted this lamp to give that leftover glass a brighter second life (because it's simply more fun to build things together than alone). This piece marks a new chapter for me: this one woman show is growing, and I truly believe collaboration is how we'll solve big problems like the climate crisis, one thoughtful, repurposed design at a time.

Built from the offcuts of reclaimed green glass bottles, pieces that would otherwise be scrap from our other work, cast into a solid Rockite base. Inside, a fully enclosed housing keeps the wiring out of sight, fitted for a dimmable bulb so you can set the mood. The base sits on cork, not felt or rubber, so it won't scratch the surface underneath.

Because every lamp starts as reclaimed glass, color, clarity, and cast texture vary slightly piece to piece. That's part of what makes it one of a kind, not a flaw.

This is a preorder batch for a design that's still being fine-tuned. Your lamp will look and function like the one pictured, though small details may evolve as we refine production based on feedback from this first run.
